Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
¾ cup brown sugar
¾ cup white sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 cups chocolate chips
Preparation
Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
Beat the butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Slowly add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Scoop tablespoons of dough onto the tray, spacing them out.
Bake for 8–10 minutes until golden brown around the edges.
Cool on the tray for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
